I have seen the highs and lows of life in ministry. I’ve experienced burnout and know what it’s like to struggle with work/life balance, decision-making in a challenging leadership environment, and leading a church in our rapidly changing, post-pandemic culture.
If you are at a crossroads in your life in ministry, looking to level up your leadership skills, live more fully and intentionally or discover a path to success toward long-term goals, I’d be delighted to come alongside and help.
I am an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA) with twenty-five years of ministry experience serving in churches in Central Florida, Chicago, and Austin, TX. Over those years, I’ve served as a youth minister, Director of Christian Education, and a solo pastor. I’m currently serving as the Lead Pastor/Head of Staff at Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church in Austin.
I have a BA in History and English Literature from Florida State University, a Master of Divinity from McCormick Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. I’m married to Meredith and we have three boys (Ages 28, 19 & 13), two West Highland Terriers, and two mostly friendly cats.

What if I miss a group meeting?
The Pastor Mastermind is a live, virtual experience. The goal is to attend all group meetings. However, we all have busy and varied schedules and things come up. If you miss one or two meetings you can still make significant gains and contributions to the group.
