One does not need to be a CEO or have three jobs to be a candidate for burnout. It is not reserved for the rich, famous, or profoundly successful, says Shauna Niequist.

The weary body, mind, and spirit that accompany burnout are found in the stay-at-home mom, the single dad, the college student, or the retired school teacher.

The most susceptible may be those that struggle to say NO or whose boundaries are unclear and constantly getting trampled upon.

Or maybe you’re working so hard at a job with little to no recognition and an overly demanding boss.

We start to feel as though we’re not special enough to be listened to by those around us. And maybe we don’t even listen to the messages from our own body and spirit.

You need to listen. Take care of yourself. Set clear boundaries and stick to them!
